Wicked Weather.
We had the most bizarre and wicked weather yesterday afternoon. It started as a beautiful sunny day temp around 70. I put Carson down for a nap around 1 and shortly after the tornado sirens were going off. I jumped up and looked out the window and it looked like night time coming our way. I immediately turned on the TV to see what was going on and found out that circulation was forming near Yukon. So, I called LeeJay and told him. They were on a conference call and announced it to everyone so they could prepare or get ready for it. Lee Jay headed home quickly but didn't make it before the hail started pounding down on his "baby"...aka the jag. He had been home for maybe 5 minutes when the news said the power poles had been knocked down and people were stuck in there cars between 150th and Penn. He was just there! Then the hail started pounding down. It looked like a waterfall of ice balls falling off the roof onto our front porch. Then the sirens again...then the news crews in helicopters were showing a tornado on the ground at Coffee Creek and Kelley. That is less than 3 miles from our house. We were just watching the news footage of these houses being ripped apart and trees and dirt going everywhere and knowing that it was right down the road from us. LeeJay went outside to see it and he could see the actual tornado in the air! Kylee and Conner were still at school and Carson slept through the whole thing! Crazy afternoon! Guess what I am doing today? I am calling Ground Zero to come out and give us an estimate to have a shelter put into the garage! No Joke!

Let me know what you get for an estimate - would they give us a down the street discount? LeeJay is nuts to go out and look. Thanks so much for calling to make sure we were safe - I so appreciate you thinking of us and am so glad we made it home.
