To Work or Not to Work

Well, I have been thinking about it this whole year since my last baby is now a full time student. Do I go back to work? It is a little scary actually...to consider the possibility of being in the work force again. It has been nearly 12 years! I had it suggested to me to be a sub at the preschool and at our kids school. I am considering it. Oh the possibilities. I have a lot to think about.

A Rough Winter For The Osburn's

We have really battled with illness this fall and now entering winter. I am assuming it is in part to being Carson's kindergarten and first public school year. He has been hit hardest for sure...poor lil guy. He has had an ongoing croopy cough since before Thanksgiving...so about 2 months now. Not to mention 2 vomiting bugs. I am taking him back to the doctor today to make sure his lungs are clear.
Kylee's asthma has come back full force this year as well. I really thought she had outgrown it but the doctors said it is worse now instead of better.
Conner has only had the 2 stomach bugs that swept through our household. Thank goodness he has had no respiratory issues. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers. We need to be healthy again.

Happy Birthday Jesus!

I just want to take a moment to thank HIM for all that he has done. Conner said the blessing at dinner last night and at the end he added "Happy Birthday Jesus." I am so thankful and so blessed. So, Happy Birthday Jesus!

Take Time To Smell The Coffee

Sometimes I think we get so busy at this time of year that we forget to breath. Well, today I scrapped all my plans and decided to just STOP and relax. I am not only smelling the coffee I am on my 3rd cup. I think that all that shopping and everything else I feel I must do will still be there tomorrow. Hopefully it won't be glaring at me and be accusing me of neglecting it today...but just the same...I am going to chill today! Hope everyone else will also consider to relax and breath sometime this week.

Thanksgiving Family Visit

We had the most wonderful visit with all of our family at Thanksgiving. It is so nice when we can all get together. The kids got to meet my Step brothers son Jake for the first time . He is such a cutie. Hope everyone had a great time with their family for the holiday.

Science!

Watching my children grow up is so bitter sweet. We went to the Science Museum yesterday and I cannot get over how grown up they are now. You can almost see their minds soaking in science in the photos!

A Fabulous Fall Day.

We took a little family trip out to Chester's Party Barn today with the family. It was a great day. Perfect weather and not too crowded. Love this place!

My Heart Breaks

In all my life I have only known a few truly giving and selfless beings. Those who give freely of themselves without expecting or wanting anything in return. Today the world is a much sadder and lonely place because one of these spectacular people I have been blessed to know and have in my life has been chosen to leave. I guess maybe all her goodness was too much for this world and was needed in heaven more. Linda was an angel in the making and now she can carry on in a much better place. She will also finally be able to hold her little girl in her arms once again. Together again at last after all this time in a beautiful place that can not be described. You will be missed and loved always by so many. I know my family will always cherish every ounce of thought and memory that involves you. I love you my dear friend and miss you already.

September Birthdays

Kylee had a big slumber party this past weekend and Conner is having his party next Friday. Busy Busy Busy! The girls had a great time and were so cute! Although, I had no idea that 10 and 11 year olds were capable of staying up until 3 in the morning. I know I never would have been physically able to do that.

Girls Weekend

I had such a great time this weekend just hanging out and enjoying some much needed female bonding. Lee Jay had a guys weekend on the boat with his buddies so I decided to have some girl time as well. We went out to dinner and to listen to live music on Friday night and the last night we had a Twilight recap/viewing before the 3rd movie comes out this week. Really enjoyed just visiting and being a girl!

Who Knows

There are so many things I wanted to be and some that I still want to be. I wanted to be a dancer and then a singer and then an actress. To be more specific...I wanted to be a dancer on Broadway or an LA laker girl....then when I became aware of my singing ability I wanted to sing on Broadway and maybe act...I always did love the old fashioned simpleness of musicals. Then I became more "sophisticated" and wanted to act in Hollywood.
After I came back down to earth and realized "hello, I live in Texas...and my parents are staunch baptists that aren't going to let me anywhere near that part of the world"....I decided I really loved fashion. So, I started taking classes at ACC in fashion merchandising. Well, it didn't take me long to realize I wouldn't find a job as a "buyer" unless someone either dies or retires from one of those few highly coveted positions.
So, things that I was always interested in but never thought to pursue: I always loved tea rooms and small boutiques and thought it would be nice to have my own flare and own one of my very own. I also always loved to write and get my thoughts and feelings down on paper...so maybe I should write a book. Who know, maybe while I am staring down at my 35th birthday (2 weeks away) I will be inspired and decide that I finally know what to do with my life. My youngest goes to kindergarten this next fall...and I somehow feel like the whole world ( well, at least the great OKC area) has been opened for me to explore and discover...and maybe find out who I really am and what I can do and make and love...who knows...who knows....
