Overslept and some are still sleeping

Carson is still asleep. This is the second time this week he has slept right through the other two kids getting up and getting ready for school. Rainy days are awesome when it comes to a dark sleeping room in the morning. He has school today but I would rather him sleep. He needs it after being as sick as he has been. Good day everyone!

San Diego Zoo

It was a great zoo...just too big and not doable in 1 day. I could see how it would be considered one of the best from a zoological stand point...but for a visitor...not my favorite. I love the way the OKC zoo is set up. I think it is very user friendly and it loops back around so you don't have to back track for the most part. For $35 a person (San Diego zoo price) it in my opinion was not worth the money. I think we are very lucky to live so near a great zoo in OKC!

Disney bound come rain..or the Flu.

The night before we were leaving for California Conner started vomiting and running a fever of nearly 105 degrees. Lee Jay scooped him up and took him to the E.R to discover he has influenza A..they put him on tamiflu and said he would be very uncomfortable on the plane but that he would be ok. Against MY better judgement we went ahead and left for the trip the next day. Almost 2 days later we all started to have symptoms of the flu and luckily the kids pediatrician called in tamiflu for all of us. We managed to stay medicated and made it to the parks and the San Diego zoo. Carson is still sick...I think has developed an ear infection. Needless to say it was not the best trip ever...it was lacking in Magic for sure. California is so beautiful though. SO ready for illness to be out of our household!

I was so wrong about the plane ride,

For some reason when looking at our tickets for the plane ride to Cali I was under the impression that we would have a 1 1/2 hour flight to Houston with an hour lay over and then another 1 1/2 hour flight to Anaheim...WRONG! The flight from Houston to Cali is 3 hrs and 42 minutes. Yuck! I am sure we are going to have a few issues keeping Carson sitting still that long. I need to buy colors etc... I guess and maybe a few new ds games. Fun Fun...Why is it that by the time we actually get to leave for a vacation we are exahausted and just ready to be back home so we can relax again? Am I the only one that feels this way?
Well, I must go start packing and prepping.

"I'm Going To Disneyland"

Remember that line from that song...well, we really are going in 4 days. Pretty excited kids live at my house right now. I have never been to California and can't wait to see it. I hope it is as pretty as I am expecting. I will post pics as soon as we get back.
Nana is in Cancun right now and I bet she is loving soaking up the sun while we have SNOW coming down here in Oklahoma. The skys better be clear during our trip... have a great Spring Break everyone.

Call Me Crazy!

Good Morning. I know most people really hate the time change and especially when they lose an hour but I love it for one very selfish reason. I get my alone time back in the morning again. For about a month Carson has been getting up earlier and earlier to the point where he is standing next to me in the morning saying "Wake up Mommy!" Not Today! It is 7:12 (new time) and everyone is still blissfully asleep. Too bad I have to wake them in 15 minutes so they have enough time to shower before school. OOOps I spoke too soon, I heard a sneeze come form the boys room. Have a great one y'all!

A Sick Week.

We started off on Sunday with Conner having a sore throat. By midnight he had 102 fever and vomited. I took him to the doctor the next day and he tested positive for Strep. He missed school Monday and tried to go on Tuesday but ended up coming home at lunch time. Meanwhile Kylee started having a sore throat so the doctor called in antibiotics for her instead of having me bring her in. She had already had 3 doses by yesterday at lunch but still felt bad enough to come home from school. Then 30 minutes before school got out yesterday Conner came home again...bad stomach ache. So, as you can imagine I have had very little time to get anything done this week. I just need to get everyone well before we go out of town on the 16th.
I started taking yaz on Sunday and I feel so much better! My sides aren't hurting anymore and I haven't had a full fledged migraine. I have had the startings of a headache twice but it just went away on its own. I haven't mentioned it on here but when I went back to the doctor on the 9th of February she told me she would recommend having a hysterectomy. So, I came home and talked it over with LJ and we decided to wait until after summer. All 3 kids will be in school next year and that will help me with recovery if I am not running back and forth as much. That is why she put me on Yaz between now and then. I hope it keeps on working.
