Times have a changed...
Well, I have worked so hard to try to keep looking younger than ...well...35..which hits next month (OMG!!!) . I have even gone to some extremes...some of you know my surgery a la carte menu...anyway...today I took my daughter swim suit shopping and some very interesting things took place. She clarified to me that my rules for her swim suits and my rules for my swim suits are quite opposite and she "thinks that it is crazy" in her very simple words. I absolutely do not want my 10 year old to wear one of these bikinis with triangle tops that seems to be all there is available. Yet, I am trying to pour my rather deflated female parts into a trangle top in the hopes that my body will still look like it did pre-children. I know this is where the double standard phrase smacks me full force in the face and says quite loudly "DUH"!!!! So, my daughter picks out a strapless and quite cute one piece for me and tells me how great it is and...it...is purple...my favorite color. I reluctantly try it on after struggling with the fact that I really really don't want to be in a one piece because we all have some preconceived idea that it makes us old and unattractive when we cross that threshhold. Well, believe it or not...it is really cute and makes my figure look adorable...Me..a35 year old...adorable...well, I will just consider my goal of looking younger acheived and accomplished....in a one piece!

Our Home
Ok, so we are all the way moved in and the tenants are moving into our old house today. It doesn't seem real yet as I have said time and time again. The builders have already framed out the upstairs and the heat and air went in yesterday. Today, the electric work is getting started and next week LeeJay will do the wiring for the theatre room. I just cannot believe how fast it is all taking place. I am so grateful. I cannot wait until we have it all decorated and can have our first visitors! Shannon ( my sis) is coming for her birthday...so hopefully it will be at least finished (maybe not decorated) by then. We are so blessed and fortunate that I almost feel guilty. To finally have our forever (and exactly like we want it) home ...what a dream come true. Thank you Jesus.

Making It Through
So this week has been a little overwhelming to say the least. Not only have I been packing to meet my Friday closing day deadline...but I have also been taking care of 2 sick kids and been playing the role of single parent as LeeJay was out of town in MN. So, tomorrow is the big day....then we starty moving...then spring break and lots of painting and unpacking...and construction. The buliders will immedately begin building the upstairs. Maybe in May I can relax and enjoy the new house. Crazy!

What To Do With Myself.
Okay, don't laugh! Now that I am not looking for a house anymore I have a lot of free time on my hands. I tend to obsess over things and at the moment it has been reading a certain saga of books. I am so captivated and intrigued by the story line that it has actually inspired me to let my creative side that I keep at bay most of the time out and free. I honestly think I am going to try to write a novel...no laughing. I have all these thoughts and feeling swirling around in my head that need to come out. I just need to figure how and when to do this. Crazy I know!

Snow Snow and More Snow!
I can tell you I am not looking forward to more snow. When it took almost a month for all the snow to go away from the last major storm...then I am not wanting more to be coming! Not to mention, Kylee has a cheer competition in Tulsa on Saturday. If this storm is as bad as they are saying it is supposed to be, I am not sure how we will get there. Anyone know what the snow route is between Edmond and Tulsa? We may be needing to take it this time!

Where Does The Time Go?
I loose track of time and forget how long it has been since I last posted. We have been having such a cold cold winter this year. Snow has been on the ground since December 24th and today is the coldest day this week. Woke up to 12 degrees this morning. Weds. night we lost power for multiple hours in the night. Crazy weather this week!
I am definatley ready for spring and a thaw out.
